A Few Thoughts – Rohini Gideon

Reward in heaven is according to your life on earth.

“The heart that loves God is a heart that bursts forth in a song of praise. It is marvelously spontaneous. It is wonderful to have your heart so in love with your Lord that the only way to express it is to sing it” Charles R. Swindoll.

Knowing God is life’s major pursuit:

  • It enhances worship and prompts of praise shape our moral and ethical standards.
  • It gives us strength when we are tempted, keeps us faithful and courageous.
  • It defines our lifestyle and directs our behavior.
  • It gives meaning and significance to relationships and creates the desire to be obedient.
  • It stimulates hope to go on, regardless of what lies ahead of us.
  • It enables us to know what to accept and what to reject.

Knowing God is the foundation upon which everything rests. It determines everything” Charles R. Swindoll.

“Faith” in Hebrews. ch. 11, God makes a promise.

  • Faith believes it,
  • Hope anticipates it,
  • Patience awaits it.

When we seek God and submit to Him, He fights our battles. Trust and wait. It is God who arms me with strength. Only God can give divine guidance. If you believe you will see the glory of God.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

Always remember God is in control of every part of our lives.

Idols are not just the wood and stone type the Israelites turned to,  but anything that steals the hearts and minds away from total commitment to the Lord.

Acts: Jesus returns to the Father, the Holy Spirit comes to the Church and the gospel of Jesus spreads throughout the World.

There is peace in the presence of God.

Meekness is a form of attitude lacking in our world. Our human nature is to be proud, only God can change us.

People look at the outside of a person, but the Lord looks at the heart.

Rohini penned the above thoughts a few days before she passed away at the age of 88. Her mind was sharp, and her writing excellent.
